Technical SEO Specialist
Overview
We are seeking a freelance Technical SEO Specialist to support structured data implementation, entity consistency validation, and technical trust signal audits as part of a broader search visibility initiative spanning SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization).
This role focuses on technical site health, schema alignment, and structured data guidance that supports discoverability across both traditional search engines and AI-driven search environments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical SEO audits focused on crawlability, indexing, and rendering
- Review and recommend structured data/schema opportunities by page type
- Identify entity consistency and NAP-related issues
- Validate technical trust signals and structured markup
- Provide implementation-ready checklists for development teams
- Support technical components of search visibility deliverables
- Collaborate with strategist and analyst roles to align technical recommendations
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in technical SEO
- Familiarity with structured data and schema markup
- Experience working with CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, etc.)
- Understanding of crawl/indexation fundamentals
- Ability to translate technical findings into actionable recommendations
- Comfortable working within structured audit frameworks
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with AEO and GEO concepts
- Experience supporting AI search visibility initiatives
- Experience working with multi-location or entity-driven businesses
