Video Designer

We are looking for a highly skilled Video Designer to create eye catching and conceptually driven book trailers for our Elite Authors clients. This position will work with direction provided by the Elite Authors production team to ensure delivery of high quality and on brand product delivery.

This is a remote, freelance (1099) position. Pay is per project from $300 to $500 for trailers ranging from 30 to 90 seconds long.

Responsibilities:

The video designer will produce 30, 45, 60, or 90-second video book trailers. These videos contain images, music, text, and audio that entice readers to buy the author’s book. Deliverable is a mp4 file with all native files attached.

A successful candidate will:

• Have a visually appealing and well produced portfolio of work, and understand current trends in video editing and book trailers. 

• Be comfortable receiving client requests and style preferences via design briefs provided by Elite team members and translating those requests into high quality, attention grabbing deliverables. 
• Be tech savvy and comfortable interacting in a remote environment (Gmail, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox, etc.). 
• Be passionate about design narratives and bringing books to life. 
• Set and maintain a high personal standard, ensuring consistency and reliability as a valuable partner to the production team and Elite clients. 

Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a video editor with demonstrable ability and a strong portfolio of work. 
• Comfortable with producing and combining audio, video and graphic elements with seamless transitions. 
• Demonstrated knowledge of current trends with video book trailers and visual aids. 
• Ability to comprehend and follow direction from briefs provided by the production team. 
• Excellent attention to detail.
