Customer Evidence Interviewer (Enterprise B2B — EMEA)
We are seeking a highly experienced freelance interviewer and storyteller, based in EMEA, to lead customer interviews for enterprise customer evidence and case studies supporting Fortune 500 technology companies.
This role is best suited to professionals with backgrounds in journalism, business or technology reporting, documentary-style interviewing, or sales enablement/customer reference work. It is not a marketing coordination or research-only role. The interviewer is responsible for drawing out clear, credible, quotable customer information that can withstand scrutiny from executive, legal, and communications stakeholders, and then documenting it in a clear, detailed manner for our expert writers.
Applicants must be based in EMEA and available during standard business hours across GMT to GMT+6. Candidates located in the Americas will not be considered.
The work:
You will engage directly with enterprise clients and their customers to capture high-quality source material for customer evidence case studies. This includes work across EMEA, MENAT, and India, often involving:
-
Complex technology products or platforms
-
Regulated or high-risk industries
-
Senior customer stakeholders (C-suite, VP, Director level)
Your interviews form the backbone of the final published story. Writers and editors rely on your judgment, preparation, and instincts to surface the right narrative, evidence, and proof points.
What you’ll do:
-
Prepare for interviews by researching the client’s business, technology, market context, and intended messaging.
-
Partner with internal teams and client stakeholders to clarify story goals and success criteria.
-
Lead live, remote interviews with customer executives and technical leaders.
-
Ask incisive, well-timed follow-up questions to surface metrics, outcomes, and meaningful customer perspective.
-
Maintain a conversational but directed interview flow that builds trust and keeps senior stakeholders engaged.
-
Accurately track and document story elements, quotes, and supporting details.
-
Produce a clear, strategic interview brief that will guide writers and editors through production.
This role is a strong fit if you:
-
Have 3–5+ years of professional experience in journalism, business or technology reporting, documentary work, or customer reference / sales enablement.
-
Are highly comfortable interviewing senior executives and subject-matter experts.
- Are comfortable engaging in highly technical conversations and documenting complex information in a clear, detailed manner.
-
Know how to listen for what matters—and how to probe when something important is left unsaid.
-
Can balance narrative instinct with commercial awareness and messaging discipline.
-
Understand agency environments and client-facing dynamics.
-
Communicate with precision and confidence in spoken and written English.
This role is not a fit if you:
-
Primarily identify as a social media, influencer, advertising, or brand marketer.
-
Prefer desk research or analysis over live stakeholder interaction.
-
Are uncomfortable directing conversations with senior executives.
-
Are not able to work consistently within EMEA and adjacent time zones.
Availability:
-
Must be based in EMEA.
-
Must be available for live interviews during business hours across GMT to GMT+6.
-
Minimum availability of 15 hours per week.
-
Ability to respond to interview requests within one business day.
-
Occasional availability for expedited interviews scheduled within 1–2 business days.
Compensation:
Our competitive freelance rates are aligned with experience, demonstrated skill, and the scope of each assignment.
-
Paid onboarding and training.
-
Tiered freelance rates aligned with experience, demonstrated skill, and reliability.
-
Premium rates for expedited interviews.
How to apply:
To be considered, please submit:
-
A résumé or CV outlining relevant experience.

Any relevant samples or descriptions of prior interviewing, reporting, or customer reference work.
Selected candidates will be asked to complete a mock interview with an interviewing lead and will receive preparatory materials in advance.
