Basic versus Advanced Editing: Which service should I choose?
Our Basic Editing services will check for errors in grammar, punctuation, syntax, spelling, consistency, and formatting. But if you’re looking for a more in-depth, comprehensive editing service, you may want to consider Advanced Editing, which offers so much more than a simple proofread. As part of our Advanced Editing services, we’ll consider the audience and purpose of each document. And as we edit and proofread, we’ll refine and tighten wording so your thoughts are clear and compelling. We’ll also help you maintain a consistent voice and style throughout.
If I submit my document on a Friday, when will I get it back?
You will get your document back within 24 hours of submission, no matter what time or day you sent it. So if you submit on a Friday at 6:00 p.m., we’ll have it back to you by Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at the latest. Our services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
What will my edited document look like when you return it?
If you submit a Microsoft Word document you will have two Word documents returned: one version with changes clearly marked and one completed version with all changes incorporated. Click here to see a sample of basic editing and advanced editing.
PDFs are returned with edits clearly marked using the Comments tool. We cannot make edits directly to your PDF. Therefore, you will need to incorporate the suggested changes. PDFs are best for designed files and not recommended for text-only documents. Please also note that we do not recommend PDFs for initial drafts.
Txt files can be returned either as a .txt file with all changes incorporated or a Word document with tracked changes. Please indicate on the Submit Your Document form how you would like your document returned.
If you submit a Google doc, your edits can be made directly to your online document, or we can download a copy and return it to you as a Word document with tracked changes. Please indicate on the Submit Your Document form how you would like your document returned.

What types of payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit card payments through PayPal and Google Checkout. For long-term engagements, we offer additional billing options, including monthly invoicing.
