December 20, 2009 – Elite Editing has partnered with the online authors’ community BookRix to sponsor and judge with the Family Stories writing contest. Elite Editing will offer editing services to the winner; entries will be accepted until February 23, 2010.
This is the first of five upcoming, free-to-enter BookRix short-story writing contests in cooperation with Elite Editing. Authors are invited to submit their best family stories, fiction or non-fiction. The BookRix community will vote to determine the top 10 books to be passed along to an independent jury.
In addition to the first-place cash prize of $1,000, the contest winner will receive free proofreading and editing services (of up to 3,000 words) from Elite Editing.
Elite Editing owner Jennifer Rotner is happy to participate in the BookRix contests and offer Elite Editing’s expertise to BookRix writers. “BookRix is a powerful forum for sharing ideas and is a supportive environment for authors,” Rotner says.
Elite Editing is deeply involved with the BookRix authors’ community and moderates a popular forum on the BookRix site, overseeing an ongoing conversation between proofreaders, editors and writers.
